Flouride Varnish

Fluoride Varnish is a highly concentrated form of fluoride which is applied to the teeth surfaces by Dr. Alexander M. Della Bella or one of his dental health care professional. It is applied to the major three parts of the crown of your tooth: enamel, cementum, and or dentin that are exposed. It is used to help prevent decay, treat root exposure sensitivity, and remineralize decalcified areas of your tooth or teeth. It is not permanent but due to its adherent nature it is able to stay in contact with your tooth surface for several hours after application. We use a 5% Sodium Fluoride White Varnish that virtually disappears after applying. The traditional varnishes left a trace of an ugly yellow color hue on your teeth. Technology has come a long way to improve the cosmetic appearance of this fluoride. That’s why we use the white varnish that comes in three great flavors cherry, melon, and mint. Fluoride varnish takes seconds to apply and sets rapidly in the presence of saliva.
